Custodian - SY 26-27

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Custodian for Columbus Humanities Arts & Technology Academy to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school building. The Custodian will perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance tasks, including removing trash, cleaning surfaces, and performing repairs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean background check, and experience working in an urban setting. The Custodian will work independently and as part of a team to ensure a positive climate and culture within the school.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks
• Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to use outdoor and indoor cleaning equipment
• Ability to report to work outside of school opening hours
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in reporting to work as scheduled
• Knowledge of cleaning up and disposal of hazardous and bio-hazardous materials
• Basic knowledge of and ability to perform simple electrical and plumbing repairs
