The Adjunct β Landscape Design & Management position provides quality instruction and maintains a positive learning environment in the classroom, with major emphasis placed on teaching, supporting and evaluating students.
Requirements
- Teach assigned courses as scheduled
- Design curriculum embracing diversity, in all forms
- Participate in the identification of students with academic or other needs
- Use technology in a manner appropriate to the nature and objectives of courses and programs
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records
- Distribute and maintain accurate syllabi
- Conduct classes punctually and in accordance with the prescribed meeting schedule
- Engage in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development
- Refer students to appropriate student and academic support services
- Foster and maintain a safe environment of respect and inclusion
- Attend all department meetings and required trainings
- Ability to work multiple sites, and off-campus as required
