Job Description
The Lead CAD Technician works closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to coordinate and execute all CAD-related work in alignment with project schedules and manufacturing requirements. This position collaborates with the Group Engineering Manager and Senior Quality Engineer to maintain and improve company design standards.
Requirements
- Manage and prioritize workload within the CAD department to ensure on-time delivery of drawing packages.
- Revise drawings including initial releases, internal markups, design changes, shipping prints, and as-built documentation.
- Prepare subplate and enclosure layouts.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials.
- Produce electrical wiring diagrams and loop drawings.
- Limited system design responsibilities which may include the preparation and development of project submittals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to support project goals and resolve design issues.
- Maintain current CAD software updates and releases.
- Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of company design standards.
