Emergency Medicine Physician provides immediate evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting with acute illness or injury in the emergency department.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- One of the following training pathways: Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency OR Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency with an Emergency Medicine fellowship
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine or Board-certified in Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine fellowship training
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility
- BLS and ACLS required; ATLS and PALS as required by department
