The Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients. The role involves providing direct inpatient medical care, evaluating and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, and coordinating patient care with consulting specialists and ancillary services.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Must maintain state certification and/or licensure
