Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing care to women across the lifespan, focusing on preventive care, obstetric and gynecologic services, and management of acute and chronic women’s health conditions.
Requirements
- Provide comprehensive women’s health care, including gynecologic and obstetric services
- Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and health assessments
- Manage routine and complex gynecologic conditions within scope of practice
- Provide prenatal, postpartum, and family planning care as applicable
- Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with licensure
- Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and results
- Educate patients on reproductive health, wellness, and preventive care
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services
- Coordinate care transitions and referrals to specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
