Mechanical Designer IV

The CommScope Data Center Business Unit is seeking a Mechanical Designer IV to spearhead the ideation and design of next-generation optical interconnect technology solutions for tomorrow’s most demanding high-speed, high-density platforms.

Requirements

• Lead conceptual design and development of innovative optical connectivity solutions
• Generate renderings, animations, and images for technical presentations
• Perform finite element modeling of latches and other structural mechanisms
• Support fit analysis using Monte Carlo, statistical, or worst-case methods
• Collaborate with molding and manufacturing colleagues for design for manufacturing (DfM) and automation (DfA) optimization
• Create functional prototypes via printing, SLA, or other technologies
• Review inspection reports for component first article approval
• Maintain design documentation and revision control
• Generate IP for new design concepts
