Job Description
The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of Head Start children within the federal program. This role emphasizes family engagement, adherence to standards, and ensuring the safety of children. The position involves frequent physical activity, using office equipment, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Development OR a Child Development Associate (CDA) required
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare setting
- Possess superior customer service and professional etiquette
- Proficiency in using computer and office technology (e.g. keyboard proficient)
- Ability to supervise and monitor children at all times
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
