Peer Support Specialist

Peer Support Specialist provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others presenting for care to minimize the emotional impact of treatment and increase the likelihood of recovery along with the likelihood of continued care once discharged.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree or higher preferred
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required
• Health Care related experience preferred but not required
• Valid identification required
• Certified Peer Support Specialist certification required for Screening and Assessment programs
