Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities. We are hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional in Brooklyn, NY to provide person-centered care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years' experience in implementing community-based support service for people with disabilities
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• QIDP qualified
• Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities and follow through under time constraints
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with program participants, and other agencies, staff and members of the community
• Training in Gentle Teaching methods
• Ability to respond to crisis situations, exercise professional judgement, and use common sense
• Knowledge of required state operating and reporting guidelines under OPWDD
