Registered Behavior Technician

Positive Options is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician in Nashville, TN to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing individualized behavior interventions and be passionate about helping others.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successfully complete a 40-hour behavioral technician training
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports
• Ability to implement Behavior Plans independently and confidently
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with participants receiving supports
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
• Ability to collect, interpret, and graph data
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
