CommuteAir is seeking an APU Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Auxiliary Power Units and related components in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Minimum 2–3 years of aviation maintenance experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical data
- Ability to read and understand AMMs, CMMs, IPCs, and engineering documents
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
- Experience in turbine engine or APU maintenance or component repair
- Previous backshop or component-level repair experience (Part 121 or Part 145)
- Familiarity with borescope inspections, teardown, and build processes
- Troubleshooting and fault isolation experience on engine/APU systems
- Experience with maintenance tracking systems (AMOS preferred)
