Backend — Principal Engineer

Commvault is seeking a Backend-Principal Engineer to lead technical initiatives for its cloud-native data protection platform. The role involves designing and evolving platform abstractions, making architectural decisions, and leading the execution of complex projects. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree, and experience in modern programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Rust.

• Strong ability to translate business, customer, and operational requirements into clear technical designs, APIs, and system architectures
