Job Description
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing patient care activities and maintaining the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The position requires 2 days per week, 8 to 10 hour shifts, and must have orthopedic experience.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledgeable of Principles of Aseptic Technique
- Ability to correlate clinical data with patient's medical and nursing care
- Ability to set priorities
- Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency
- Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc.
