Principal Software Engineer - AI Integration & Deployment (Remote with travel - 1099 - Independent Contractor)

CompassX is a boutique business and technology consulting firm seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the integration of AI-generated applications with enterprise layers and design a robust CI/CD and release strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a 'builder first' mindset
• High proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and React
• Hands-on expertise in Containerization (Docker) and Orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience working with modern data platforms, specifically Databricks or similar large-scale data lake architectures
• Experience in a boutique or consulting environment, with'soft skills' to navigate a fast-paced, challenging environment and build consensus among stakeholders
