Job Description
The Machining Process Engineer is responsible for leading continuous improvement projects focused on machining processes (Turning, Milling, and Grinding) for both Manual and CNC machines. This role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and a collaborative approach to identify and deliver innovative solutions. The company is seeking a technically proficient engineer to contribute to efficiency and throughput improvements in their repair and overhaul operations.
Requirements
- Evaluate issues with repair processes, engine components, and approved technical data.
- Work with Production Department Managers to reduce rework and improve the quality rating of CRT's repair processes.
- Develop and/or revise work instructions to facilitate production.
- Ensure process quality and testing requirements are being met using FAA approved technical data and/or industry standards.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, equipment, and systems.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with process implementation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to design tooling and fixturing including GD&T, methods of construction, and material selection.
