Our client is a top 3 retail company in Germany seeking a Head of Logistics to oversee logistics in southern Germany, personnel responsibility for 1,200 staff, and direct management of 7 department heads. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic development of logistics concepts, planning and budgeting, and ensuring key performance indicators. Requirements

• Completed alternative logistics or business administration study with subsequent professional experience or long professional experience in logistics
• Professional and disciplinary leadership experience in a large logistics unit
• Sound knowledge of retail logistics
• High understanding of logistics processes
• Sound knowledge of warehouse automation (ideal)
• General IT affinity
• Self-confidence, self-initiative, high sense of responsibility, and goal-orientation
• Communicative skills, persuasiveness, and negotiation skills
• Customer orientation, cost awareness, and friendly, empathetic, and cooperative staff management
