Under the supervision of the Director, Chairman, Manager, or Chief, the Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of, or within six months of graduation, a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (US) or registry eligible OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or eligible.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
- Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
