Job Description
Coney Island Prep is seeking passionate high school special education English teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Teachers will deliver academic instruction, grade students' essays and readings, and support students with IEPs. The school emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and anti-racism.
Requirements
- Passion for education and a dedication to Coney Island Prep’s mission.
- Experience with Special Education and working with high school students.
- Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification.
- Master's degree in Special Education strongly preferred.
- Cultural competency to work in low-income communities.
- Self-reflective and open to feedback.
