The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation is a sovereign tribal government located in northeastern Washington State. It is governed by a 14‑member Business Council that represents and serves 9,500 tribal members, many of whom reside on the expansive 1.4‑million‑acre reservation. The council oversees a broad range of responsibilities, including cultural preservation, economic development, natural resource stewardship, and community services. With its unique confederated structure and commitment to both on‑reservation and off‑reservation members, the tribe maintains a distinct role in regional governance and Indigenous advocacy.
