Job Description
The position of Engine Operator I/II involves working on an engine, helideck module, or hand crew to suppress and manage wildland fires. Duties include fire prevention, patrol, fuels management projects, and repair of firefighting tools and equipment. Supervision and leadership roles may be required for more experienced candidates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current fire training certificates for ICS-100, IS-700, S-130, S-190, L-180, and Standards for Survival/LCES
- 2 seasons in fire suppression and fire management
- Current pack test with Arduous rating
- Red Card qualified as a FFT2 or FFT1
