Athletic Coach (Assistant football coach)

Responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques, motivating them to develop an appreciation of the sport, and ensuring their safety and character development.

Requirements

• Assesses player's skills and makes suggestions to head coach on assignment to team positions
• Implements a regular practice schedule for individual and team development
• Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury
• Communicates with parents/guardians regarding the athletic performance of their student
• Follows state, regional, and district regulations governing the athletic program
