The High School Science Teacher is responsible for providing support to the instructional process, supervising students, developing lesson plans, and delivering individualized instruction within established curriculum guidelines. This role requires adaptability, technical skills, and the ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.

Requirements

• Adapting classroom work for individualized learning plans
• Administering developmental testing programs and assessments
• Advising parents and guardians on student progress
• Assessing student progress towards objectives and goals
• Collaborating with instructional staff and community resources
• Directing assistant teachers and instructional assistants
• Instructing students in academic, interpersonal, and daily living skills
• Managing student behavior and providing a safe learning environment
• Monitoring students in various educational environments
• Preparing written materials and reports
• Reporting incidents and responding to inquiries from various sources
