Job Description
The Learning Specialist Grades 3-5 is responsible for supervising students, developing lesson plans, and delivering instruction within established curriculum guidelines. They will also collaborate with other teachers and staff to improve student outcomes and communicate with parents and guardians about student progress.
Requirements
- Adapts classroom work for individualized learning plans
- Administers developmental testing programs and assessments
- Collaborates with instructional staff and community resources
- Coordinates activities and ensures equipment and materials are available
- Directs assistant teachers and instructional assistants
- Instructs students in academic and daily living skills
- Manages student behavior and maintains a safe learning environment
- Monitors students in various educational environments
- Prepares written materials and reports incidents
- Responds to inquiries from teachers, parents, and administrators
