Job Description
Offshore Structural Material Engineer position requires a university graduate with a technical major, over 10 years of experience, and basic knowledge of metallurgy, materials science, and manufacturing processes. The role involves reviewing supplier offers, participating in technical meetings, and evaluating non-conformities.
Requirements
- University Graduate with a technical major
- More than 10 years of experience in a similar position or similar field
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and materials science
- Basic knowledge of main metallic and non-metallic materials used in the Oil and Gas sectors
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes of products used in the Oil and Gas sectors
- Knowledge of materials suppliers in the Oil and Gas sectors
- Ability to review suppliers' offers and perform technical alignments and evaluations
- Knowledge of materials destructive and non-destructive test methods used during product manufacturing
- Knowledge of main applicable industry materials, international standards, and codes (such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, DNVGL, etc.)
- Ability to analyze Clients Specifications and standards
