The Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the development of Embedded Electronics and Software/Firmware supporting products developed by XTG Design Services. This individual is also responsible, under supervision, for Architecture, Test Planning, Testing and Quality Assurance.
Requirements
- Follows an outlined schedule for training that includes introductions to various departments, experts in the industry, and overviews of Connected Development procedures.
- Utilizes the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom and on the job to complete assigned tasks and support business initiatives.
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives to develop software, electronics hardware, or firmware for complex embedded systems.
- Utilizes schematic capture tools and computer simulation to create designs for complex systems.
- Use electronic test equipment such as emulators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Utilizes vendor resources to incorporate the latest technology in new designs.
- Prepares feasibility analysis, cost estimates and detailed specifications from which electronic and software designs may be executed.
- Works at a technical level on complex applications.
- Responsible for adhering to company development and quality standards.
- Works in conjunction with other engineering disciplines and overall systems engineers.
- Other duties as assigned.
