Certified High School Special Education English Teacher - Georgia Connections Academy

Certified High School Special Education English Teacher position at Georgia Connections Academy, a tuition-free virtual school for students in grades K-12 throughout Georgia. The teacher will deliver high-quality virtual instruction, provide intervention and enrichment, engage families, and use data to drive student learning and growth. Regular in-person activities and travel throughout the state of Georgia may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or related field
• Georgia Clearance Certificate
• English (6-12) & Special Education General Curriculum
• Possess a Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Highly organized and punctual
• Student and family-focused approach
• Experience in teaching or supporting Title I schools
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Team player track record
• Strong interpersonal skills
