Job Description
Georgia Connections Academy is a tuition-free, full-time virtual school for students in grades K-12 throughout Georgia. The School Social Worker will provide services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.
Requirements
- Possess a Georgia School Social Work certification
- Must have a Clearance Certificate through the Department of Education or be able to obtain one within the first 30 days of the first day of hire.
- Experience and demonstrated interest in working with at-risk youth in an urban environment
- Candidates should have familiarity with specific Georgia resources and agencies that will assist in healthy social, mental, and academic development of students and families
