We are seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Application Engineer II to support the engineering, programming and implementation of BAS for multiple clients in the Washington, DC Metro Area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred but not required)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC field or BAS programming and engineering, with a focus on commercial and industrial applications is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of IP-based networks and various BAS communication protocols and systems preferred
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components, including (but not limited to) chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV boxes, and control valves is preferred
- Demonstrate working knowledge of control theory, Automatic Temperature Controls (ATC), BAS and other building subsystems, PLC Logic
- Experience with commissioning tools and protocols, including functional testing, point-to-point verification, and system optimization preferred but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to be attentive and responsive to client concerns
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time and technical constraints
- Ability to establish effective collaborative working relationships and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients
