Platform Engineer: Platform Solutions (Remote)

Constructor is a U.S. based company that has been in the market since 2019. It was founded by Eli Finkelshteyn and Dan McCormick who still lead the company today. The company is built around a next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce. We're passionate about maintaining this and work on the bleeding edge of AI to do so. We're looking for a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize custom platform services to ensure our systems are resilient, secure, and performant.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go (preferred), Java, Python, C# or similar
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, SQS)
• Familiarity with cloud-native system design best practices
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation (preferred), Terraform or Pulumi
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS)
• Knowledge of networking concepts, security, and distributed systems
• Understanding of web concepts and security, including OAuth, SAML, CORS, Cookies, and HTTP security
