Job Description
Our client is a major global integrated energy company seeking an LNG Trader to grow their Pacific Basin LNG trading business and optimize Pacific / Atlantic arbitrage opportunities. The role involves trade physical LNG cargoes, propose hedging strategies, and lead front office negotiation of framework contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelors or masters degree in a quantitative subject (i.e. Economics, Business, Engineering)
- 8+ years of working experience in LNG commodities trading or origination in a front-office capacity
- Strong network and reputation in the LNG industry and specifically within Asian markets
- Excellent understanding of the LNG market, physical and derivative trading concepts
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to build fruitful relationships with third parties
