Job Description
Senior Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst position at Consumers Energy, preparing and reviewing research, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate transaction treatment.
Requirements
- Research moderately complex technical accounting issues
- Provide accounting consultation and advice to cross-functional internal partners
- Evaluate contracts for accounting issues and document conclusions
- Monitor new and emerging accounting standards
- Prepare subject matter-specific reporting documents
- Coordinate, prepare, and review sections of quarterly and annual SEC filings
- Provide significant input to monthly and quarterly internal reports and analyses
