We are seeking an experienced Law Clerk to provide assistance in all phases of litigation for a large federal agency office. This is a high-profile office involved in many high priority cases where your work will be fulfilling, and will make an immediate impact in support of the mission of this federal agency.
Requirements
- J.D. Degree
- Active member of the Bar in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Experience with civil litigation (preferred), especially if such experience involves complex federal cases and jury trials
- U.S. Citizenship
- Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least two years of study or, an equivalent level of legal training or experience
- Two years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects or task order related projects
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging
- Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
