Continental's Corporate Completions Team seeks an experienced completions engineering subject matter expert to support multiple departments and provide high-level guidance on well completions. The Advisor role requires individual contributions in stimulation/completion design and evaluation, as well as serving as a mentor and trainer to less senior employees.
Requirements
- Act as a subject-matter mentor and guide technical staff through complex concepts and best practices
- Design and evaluate completion/stimulation tests for well performance and cost impact
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate materials for stimulation
- Develop sub-surface interpretation of well spacing and stimulated reservoir volume relationships
- Project design, management and interpretation of advanced sub-surface diagnostics
- Interpretation of routinely acquired and specialized completion data for accurate hydraulic fracture characterization
- Construct, calibrate and interpret hydraulic fracture simulations
- Pressure decline analysis for reservoir properties
- Vet technology proposals for performance and economic value
- Analyze and interpret short and long-term production performance from unconventional reservoirs
- Provide direction and expertise on data collection and laboratory testing activities
- Interact with Advanced Analytics and Intelligence (AAI) department for data-oriented completions recommendations
- Evaluate completions quality of potential acquisitions
- Represent Continental Resources at joint interest and technical meetings
- Reach solid conclusions and recommend projects consistent with best engineering practices and company strategy
