Senior Underwriter

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Underwriter I – Middle Market Workers Compensation in Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. This role supports short- and long-term business strategies to drive profitable growth through sound underwriting and effective agency marketing. The Senior Underwriter will analyze middle market workers compensation accounts, price business according to company underwriting and pricing guidelines, and communicate with agency personnel on underwriting issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of commercial insurance experience required in addition to Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance principles, rates, rules, forms, procedures, regulations, coverages, and business processes required.
• Strong sales and marketing skills which requires the ability to qualify opportunities and close deals.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
