The Trust Operations Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of daily operations for the Trust Department. This position implements and maintains operational controls for the Trust Department with a focus on transactional reviews, account and asset reconciliations, record keeping, and tax and portfolio accounting functions.
Requirements
- Development of proficiency with Trust accounting system in an outsourcing environment.
- Responsible for oversight of processing, clearing, servicing and settlement of transactions.
- Responsible for oversight of routine operational balancing and reconciliation of accounts and assets
- Coordinate with Trust Officer the submission of all reports, documents, etc. for internal/external audits/examinations.
- Documents, implements and monitors internal controls.
- Open and close accounts: including set up and removes computer records, complete open and close checklists; and set up, re-registers and distributes assets.
- At the request of Trust Officer or other Investment Advisors, process purchases and sales of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETF’s.
- When necessary, obtain and provide manual price updates for miscellaneous assets to trust accounting software vendor.
- When necessary, obtain date of death (DOD) estate valuation information.
- Responsible for trust vault activity and audits.
- Responsible for oversight of resolution of transaction and custody exceptions.
- Responsible for oversight and processing secure wire transfers, ACH transfers, cash receipts and all check production.
- Handle fiduciary DDA cash reconcilement review net settlement and other money movement.
- Perform complex inquiries and research.
- Monitor open items (Free Receipt of Assets/Transfers/Corporate Actions, etc.) in the department.
- Ensure adequate due diligence and record keeping
- Assist with daily Trust administrative duties.
- Develops and implements special projects/reports.
- Facilitates communication between trust operations and other members of Core Bank.
- Responsible for being current with a variety of trust concepts, practices and procedures
