Job Description
The AVP Underwriter - D&O will examine and analyze submissions to determine if the risk is a targeted class of business and determine appropriate limits, pricing & terms. They will execute business plans, provide customer service, and ensure risks are within delegated authority.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Private D&O underwriting industry
- Public company D&O is a plus
- Knowledge of Private D&O underwriting practices, coverage & pricing/rating methodologies
- Strong knowledge of producer & competitor marketplace
- Strong knowledge of targeted industries
- Strong knowledge of insurance company operations
- Solid understanding of policy wordings and clauses
- Up-to-date knowledge of the insurance market environment
