Coreshell's metallurgical Silicon anode technology delivers high capacity, fast-charging, and superior safety. This role is focused on accelerating development of Coreshell’s cutting-edge cell chemistry in cylindrical cell form factors.
Requirements
- Lead integration of novel cell chemistries in cylindrical cell form factors
- Perform necessary foundational work: materials screening; electrode coatings with both drawdown and slot die coaters; cell assembly; mechanical and electrochemical characterization; process and formulation refinement
- Collaborate within the Cell Development team and cross-functionally with R&D, product, commercial, and manufacturing teams to ensure cells meet customer performance requirements and are ready-to-manufacture
- Characterize cells and battery materials, using both electrochemical methods & materials analytical techniques
- Perform cell failure analysis using both non-destructive methods and post-test cell disassembly followed by physical, compositional, and electrochemical characterization
- Lead FMEA efforts to identify and solve quality problems arising from material, design, and process-related factors
