Job Description
This position will serve as a Senior Camp Counselor for 4-H Camp Overlook, an overnight summer camp owned and operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations of Franklin and St. Lawrence County, located in Mountain View, New York. Senior Counselors are the primary caregivers of campers (ages 6-16) at 4-H Camp Overlook.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must demonstrate knowledge and/or skill in camp program area(s)
- Current certification and/or willingness and ability to take any required trainings for the position
- Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner
- Willingness to learn and understand the development needs of youth of all ages
- Desire, ability, and willingness to work and live in a camp community and to reside at 4-H Camp Overlook, Mountain View, NY
- Ability to work flexible hours which will include evenings and weekends, as appropriate
