The Agriculture & Horticulture Issue Leader is responsible for providing in-depth program leadership for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the agriculture and horticulture program area of the association. This position will engage with local community groups, networks, partnerships, and collaborations to address high priority issues and maximize effective use of community resources.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Agricultural related field
- At least 4 years related experience in program development, delivery, and management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage a diversity of stakeholders, committees or consultants in the development of program direction
- Ability to initiate, plan, organize, implement, teach and evaluate informal and innovative educational programs
- Demonstrated skills in effectively communicating complex information through oral, written, and visual channels, and through social media
- Broad understanding of regional, statewide and/or national agricultural issues and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research projects and understand, evaluate and summarize data for effective reporting
- Ability to lead and participate effectively in professional team efforts
