Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on anesthesia care for companion animals, horses, and farm animals in a fast-paced academic teaching environment. You’ll work closely with faculty clinicians while supporting the training of veterinary students, interns, and residents.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and at least 1 year of experience
- NYS licensure or eligible to be licensed
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Collaborate with the team while managing multiple cases and responsibilities with high attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to receive, implement, and offer constructive criticism
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which include, but are not limited to, stressful situations, prolonged standing and kneeling, lifting and restraining animals that often exceed 50 pounds.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
