Controls Engineer

Join Corning, a leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science, as a Controls Engineer in Newton, NC. As a key member of the Optical Communications segment, you will serve as an electrical controls resource for process improvement, cost reduction, and capital expansion projects. Manage electrical and controls scope of assigned projects, design and implement new control systems, and provide technical support to plant's various control systems.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated controls aptitude
• Ability to debug and monitor PLC code – ladder logic
• Experience with Allen Bradley controllers and associated hardware
• 2 years of manufacturing experience
• 1 year minimum experience with various electro-mechanical devices
