Machinist II

Join Corning as a Machinist II to work on machining and fabricating tooling, parts, assemblies, guarding, jigs/fixtures for production equipment. Develop sustainable solutions and work on problem-solving to meet plant goals of safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Requirements

• Sets up and operates machine tools
• Machines, alters, and repairs components to needed specifications
• Determines machining sequence of operation to complete the job task in a timely manner
• Computes dimension measurements using hand calculations, calculator, or programs such as CAD
• Verifies dimensions, clearances, and alignment using measuring devices
