Mechanical Engineer

Corning is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering division. The successful candidate will work with team members to solve technical problems, support continuous improvement activities, and drive innovation in manufacturing technologies.

Requirements

• High level of technical curiosity
• Ability to use experimentation to develop basic process knowledge
• Familiar with state of the art technologies in electro-mechanical drive systems, fluid power, pneumatics, robotics, material handling, alignment, part sensing, and safety standards
• Ability to effectively leverage and manage external machine builders and system integrators
• Demonstrated skills in 2-D and 3-D CAD, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
