Corning is seeking a Social Media Specialist to support the editorial and creative strategy for all current and potentially future corporate channels. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented professional who has a pulse on the social media landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
- Extremely strong written and oral communications skills
- Knowledge across the social media platforms including experience working on social media campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including attention to detail and strong editing skills
- Experience with storytelling, influencer marketing, and building a global community through social media
- Familiarity with social media publishing platforms like Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
- An understanding of the trends on major social media channels as well as knowledge about smaller, niche, and developing channels
- Design capabilities including basic graphic design (Photoshop, Canva, etc.), photography, and video production.
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work comfortably across all levels of an organization, including with c-suite leadership with a foundation of proven stakeholder management
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
- Ability to handle many tasks, assess priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as competency to work independently and lead agreed upon action plans with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools (e.g.,, social listening, workflow automation, design etc.) to enhance social media strategy, optimize publishing, and improve engagement.
