Job Description
The OB Hospitalist provides assessment, evaluation, planning, and treatment for patients in an OB/GYN setting, utilizing evidence-based guidelines. They collaborate with external referring physicians to ensure continuous and appropriate patient care, fostering a high standard of clinical practice. The role involves maintaining a strong understanding of medical guidelines, legal requirements, and patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine degree or DO (MD or DO) and Board Certification/eligibility in the relevant specialty
- Board Certification/eligibility in physician's associated specialty
- Physician's unrestricted license to practice medicine in California
- Demonstrated understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
- In-depth knowledge of medication, side effects, and contraindications
- Knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
