Security Officer

To safeguard the physical welfare of patients, staff, and visitors, and protect the hospital's property and assets from vandalism and theft.

Requirements

• Performs preventative foot patrol of hospital buildings, perimeters and parking lots
• Answers calls for service, performs scheduled shift duties
• Handles lost/found and deceased patient property and enforces parking regulations
• Responds to emergency calls for assistance
• Provides nighttime escorts to ensure safety of employees and visitors
• Conducts initial investigations of reported security and safety incidents and writes security reports
• Conducts field interviews and initiates investigations of suspicious persons, suspicious circumstances, and unauthorized persons observed on hospital property during the daytime and nighttime hours
