The Directorate General of Democracy and Human Dignity (DGII) is seeking an Executive Director for the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe (OHTE), a flagship mechanism providing evidence-based comparative analysis and supporting high-quality history education aligned with the Education Strategy 2024–2030.
Requirements
- A higher education degree or qualification equivalent to a master’s degree in history, education science, political science, social sciences, or a related field
- At least eight years of relevant professional experience with clear evidence of progression to positions involving increasing levels of responsibility and complexity
- Proven and relevant management experience, including team leadership and development, and a recognised ability in managing human resources and budgets
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate and partner with multiple stakeholders
- An excellent knowledge of English and working knowledge of French
