The Income Maintenance Caseworker II is responsible for determining eligibility for Economic Services Programs, including interviewing customers, processing applications, and verifying information. The employee must have excellent communication skills, a good knowledge of program requirements, and good computer skills. The employee reports to an Income Maintenance Supervisor and works closely with a team to improve customer service.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, ITS Technology, or a closely related curriculum
- Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience, including negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analysis of data, and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks
- Graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience
- One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or equivalent combination of training and experience
