Health Insurance Subject Matter Expert (Fully Remote)

Health Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) will play a critical role in shaping and building CoverGo’s health insurance product capabilities. Working closely with product, engineering and delivery teams, this role brings deep health insurance domain expertise into the product development lifecycle to ensure features are accurate, compliant, competitive, and aligned with real-world insurance operations.

Requirements

• Atleast 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, with strong exposure to end-to-end insurance operations.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in health insurance.
• Experience in life and/or P&C insurance is considered a strong advantage.
• Having a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of the full health insurance lifecycle, including product setup, policy administration, claims, billing, renewals, and regulatory considerations.
• Proven ability to create clear, structured documentation such as process flows, requirements, and functional specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, technology, and business teams.
• Critical, forward thinker, innovator, and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven, and globally distributed environment.
• Experience working with insurance systems or digital transformation initiatives is a strong plus.
• Exposure to multiple markets or global health insurance products is an advantage.
